Holden's feelings for Jane

Holden talks a lot about Jane Gallagher, especially in chapter 11. She seems to be really important to him, as he shows when he explains that Jane is the only person outside his family that he showed Allie's baseball mitt to. He obviously was jealous when Stradlater told him that Jane was her date (the first thing Holden says is:"I nearly dropped dead when he said that").
Even if Holden doesn't describe her as "beautiful", he noticed little details about Jane that he likes. For example, her way to move her mouth (p. 84).
A lot has happened between Holden and Jane. They never kissed, but they used to hold hands and spend time together as if they were a couple, and Holden loved it.
When Holden imagines that he is in some kind of a James Bond movie on page 113, he chooses Jane as his Bond girl. This is another proof that she is special to him. Even if he doesn't say it, he is probably in love with her because he doesn't seem to be able to get her off his brain.
